Emily founded EzyConsents to bridge the divide between councils and communities - advocating for greater transparency and accountability in council processes, while transforming the consent journey into a clear, supported, and empowering experience. Her mission is to ensure people not only understand their obligations but also feel genuinely cared for, informed, and confident at every step.
With a Bachelor of Commerce and international compliance experience as a Financial Planner in Australia and Canada, Emily brings a rare blend of commercial insight and regulatory expertise. Her time within her local district council further refined her understanding of New Zealand’s regulatory landscape - from the Building Act and NZ Building Code to the RMA and the systems that guide consent decision-making.
Committed to continuous professional development, Emily actively undertakes training through the New Zealand Building Network and the New Zealand Planning Institute. Her dedication to growth and emerging leadership was recognised in 2022 when she received the inaugural Business South Newcomer Leadership Scholarship.
