The Consent Process
For ease, EzyConsents operates completely virtually, our clients simply share their project file which typically contains the following (depending on the project):
Plans
Project Specifications
H1 Calculations
Bracing Calculations
Truss Design and PS1
Certificate of Design Work
Wastewater Designs
Geotechnical Reports
Engineers Calculations and PS1
Once the application is lodged you will receive a copy of the submission and confirmation for your records. Please note, EzyConsents fees are strictly for service and do not include council fees. The 20-day statutory clock begins (i.e. timeframe council must issue your consent decision - clock may stop and start if there are further information requests).
The consent will then be processed by a council building control officer and once they have made their decision, the issued documents will be sent to the construction company to proceed with the project.
For resource consents or building consents for clients who are not using a construction company, the process essentially follows the same steps.
We are customer focused and help our clients every step of the way. We pride ourselves on being responsive and accessible, we cut through the jargon with a "no-bullshit" approach so you can just get on with the job.
