Building consents are approvals granted by your local council under the Building Act 2004 which allow you to carry out building work. You can’t carry out building work unless you have a building consent (there are a few minor exceptions to this set out in Schedule 1 of the Building Act).

  • Designer/architect and/or builder liaising

  • Procuring compliant product specifications

  • Submission preparation of documentation

  • Regulatory compliance review and any minor amendments to comply

  • Submission of application within five business days from receipt of project file

  • Clear communication and assistance with general enquiries

  • Management of application

  • Response to any information requests within 24-hours

  • Council communication and follow up until consent is approved
